Acer triflorum

Very rare, slow growing small tree with peeling grey-brown flaking bark.  Grown mainly for its vivid red and orange autumn colour which is consistently produced.  Only reaches 4-6m tall in cultivation (10m in its native habitat). Tolerant of most neutral to acid soils.
