Clematis alpina Francis Rivis

An early flowered climber with light green leaves and bell-shaped, deep blue flowers 5-6cm across, followed by attractive seedheads.  April-May flowering.  2-3m tall.  Will tolerate a wide variation of soils (except very boggy ones).  Tolerant of cold and exposed sites.
